You guys made PE lessons enjoyable for us by complimenting our running and NAFA training with the games we enjoyed. The part of the PE lessons that we enjoyed the most is where you guys joined us for the games that we played. Though u guys pushed us so hard for NAFA, we were the ones who actually benefited from those tough training. A BIG THANK YOU for keeping us FIT.

To: Ms Lee/ Mdm Jiang / Mdm Liu / Ms Tan Pei Ghee and all the other Chinese Language teachers
Thank you so much for putting in the pains in trying to explain those tough Chinese phrases to me in English. Without you people, I would not have even passed my Chinese. Chinese lessons were quite enjoyable with all the stories you guys told us. Thank You For all your PATIENCE and also thanks for giving me a POLISHED SKILL in life.

TO: Mrs Maria Lim / Mr Low Fie Wah
Thank you for playing a part in my life by educating me with the skills of cooking and sewing/technical work. ALL these SKILLS will come in handy in time to come. (Mrs Lim: Remember in Sec 1(2001), you had to use the wooden spoon to chase me round the home economics room because I did not listen to you???-THOSE were the times…Hehe)

TO: Ms Tan Geok Choo
Thanks for giving me the good foundation in MATHEMATICS in sec 1. Although you only taught me for one year, the foundation you provided me was SUPERB that I did not have much trouble in the 3 other years in HS. I will always remember what you say “PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT”.

TO: Mr Fahizal
You are COOL. You were my form teacher in sec 1, you showed us round school (orientation group leader), gave us directions, you taught us about the world-GEOGRAPHY!!! Stay cool always!!!

TO: Ms Wong
You were my teacher for the very boring subject of HISTORY. Seriously, I hated HISTORY but somehow, you made it FUN but sometimes it was quite boring till I fell asleep but you always had some interesting way to wake people up when they fall asleep during your lesson…Haha…Thank you for enduring my nonsense for 4 whole years and also all the blood you vomited on my test scripts. After 4 whole years, I finally realized why we need to study HISTORY. A big THANK YOU for MY O LEVEL GRADE for HISTORY.

TO: Mrs Choy
Thank you for photocopying lots of notes and papers for us. It was really helpful. Thank you for showing us the right directions by educating us with the LIFE SKILLS.

TO: Mr Tan Wee Boon
You are one very caring form teacher. You tried to help us in every way you could. Thank you for printing those practice papers and going through answers in whatever little time you could afford. I really appreciate your patience in going through our doubts when we did not get it the first time round. Thanks a lot. Stay Cheerful always.

TO: Ms Goh
Although you only taught us for a short period of time in sec 3, you tried your best to make it fun. The only difficulty that you faced was trying to collect the homework that you gave us. Besides that, the lessons that you had with us were FUN and ENJOYABLE. Thanks a lot.

TO: Mdm Lim
Although you only taught me for one year, I can sense your ENTHUSIASM in each and every one of your lessons. You tried to help me by clarifying all the doubts that I had as the o level examinations drew nearer and nearer. Thanks a lot.

TO: Mdm Ching
Thank you for printing tones of papers for us to practice. Your effort has not gone to waste as our grades are the ones which showed you our vast improvement. I can still remember that you used your holidays to come back and re-teach those topics that we did not understand. Thanks a lot. YOU HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB!!!

TO: Ms Liew
You only taught us for one year but in this one year, we have learnt a lot from you. Thanks for all the notes you printed for us, it was indeed useful. Thanks for all the love and encouragement that you gave me!!!(Remember to invite us to your place someday)

TO: Mrs Koh
You are one teacher who made us relax. Because the only lesson we had with you was CME and we did not have to do our workbooks as you always provided answers for us but all we needed to do was to contribute and copy. Thanks for teaching us how to loosen up when we get stressed.

TO: Mr Tang
You have seen us grow. You taught us from sec 1-4. I know you MISS US a lot . Although chemistry was one of my favourite subject, you made it more interesting and simple by giving us notes. I LOVE your notes. Don’t worry, you notes is so useful that my brother loves studying it. The notes that you made are useful so don’t think that your staying up late at nights (2am) to prepare them has not gone to waste. Thanks a lot!!!

TO: Mr Fernandez
Thank you for disciplining us and giving us lots of story-telling sessions.
I miss you!!!

TO: Ms Tan Chor Hiang

The four years with HS was a really exhilirating one and I've learnt many things thoughout this entire journey. I would like to extend my thanks to all the wonderful teachers who have helped me in one way or another. Not forgetting our great principal, Mr Chia! Not just me, but I believe everyone in 4E2, and all the graduates for Hougang Secondary will never forget all the effort you and all the teachers have put in to just groom us to where we are today!

Not forgetting 4E2s wonderful teachers like Mr Tan, Mdm Ching, Mr Tang, Miss Wong, Miss Tan, Miss Liew, Mrs Goh for all their encouragement, dedication and hard work they'd put in to get us ready for our O level examinations! You never gave up on us and all your hard work has paid off! I really appreciate everything!

Mr Fernandez, thank you for training me as a monitor and then a prefect during the past four years. I learnt a great deal of things ranging from leadership skills to organising camps and various courses for the prefectorial board!

At the same time, I would like to thank the organizing committee for creating this blog for us to put our thoughts and dedications. IF not for you guys, I and in fact everyone would not get the chance to put their thanks and well wishes through to the teachers!

Though words are just a small part in this dedication, the memories I had with the school will always remain in my mind!

Once again, a very big thank you to Mr Chia, and to all the teachers of Hougang Secondary School!

Just want say 'Thank You!' to all those teachers whom have help me in one way or another during the 4 years in HS.
Especially those whom have taught me in the last 2 years. I know 'Thank you!' isn't enough to show you my appreciation but i hope you all will be able to feel it instead.
These 4 years in HS have been very meaningful & enjoyable.
I have learnt alot of things that i wouldn't have chance to learn in class such as campcraft, drills, leadership skills & cooking(both indoors & outdoors). All thanks to Mr Fernandez, Mrs Cheng, Mr Tang, Mr Lee, Mrs Ho, Mrs Loo, Miss Ng, Mrs Ram & Mr Tan.
Mr Chia you are the best Principal i ever have. Thanks for the understanding you have for us & the long 'lecture' which you will make (at that point of time we might think you are simply naggy but now we understand & miss it).
Uncle Daniel, thank you for your trust, care & support too. You watched us grow & give us what we hope for (the TV, music & comfortable canteen). When we were having our camps & courses thanks for your help, drinks & radio.
You all have brought up the babies of HS. We know it is a tough job, but all of you have make it!
Thank You!
Thank You for Everything!

Well. To dedicate my thanks to all teachers who somehow created some history with me = )
Thanks for the consolations, encouragements and the care u guys shown which contributed much to my life. I really appreciate the great efforts u have put in to seize this totally mischevious class(but you have to admit we are the most adorable bunch heehe). The lessons that i've went through, not only in academics but also growing more matured throughout the memorable 4 yrs. It was really pleasant and enjoyable to be in HS and it would always be my pride.

To:BesT mAtHs teacher i had so far

let mi say about my results..to me, my maths results i am happy..but not extremely happy..my maths at the beginning was a passing grade..not adding A maths..A maths was a disaster..E maths was a boarderline case..

But..after u came into HS..yea..my maths had a drastic improvement.. until the results were out..i know u made that miracle happen..without u helping us in our maths..the results may nt be as so..thx for ur guidance and the many interesting lessons u gave us...

i must say every maths teacher should aspire to be like u..the v professional mdm ching!! =p thx so much!! The lessons we had with u, Mdm Ching, will be remembered and will never be forgotten!

O..sorry i forgot about mr tang..

To: The ever so pro mr tang..

What should i say, hmm..yea if u still dont know my combined science mark, pls do ask mr tan although i dont really feel its that good..its an EXPECTED mark in my opinon..guess u'll also think that way too..it could have been better.. much better..=p

But i'm happy with it coz its one of my best subjects compared to the other subjects{u'll probably go "Whoa" if u know my science mark, but hey, it could be better right? thats the FACT..lolx}

U're one caring and thoughtful teacher..although many slept in ur chemistry class, i hope they didnt let u down..thx for spending almost all the time u had left after your meetings to ans "our" or should it be yi hui's qns?{coz i didnt have the time to do so much..or should i sae i didnt have much problems..}

And yea still remembered we had to wait for u sooo long, until they were abt to close the school doors..lolx..its alright..we know u are a busy person..and u didnt just leave our doubts unanswered..u still called me..lolx..thanks!!

Just to let u and the other teacher's know, i'm going to poly although i can go to jc larX..C my results and u'll know why..but don't u people worry..i'll work as hard as i can so as to go to Uni aft poly..I can and will go to UNI..Trust me like i trusted u!! *SmilEz*

OK..its time to be serious

Mr Tan , Thanks for the extra time you spent on teaching us and how i wish i could install the pop-up blocker in the classroom to prevent your pop-up test from coming

Mr TANK , LOL , Thank you for your chemistry ntes and test paper , i got a B3 for science which is nothing compare to an A1

Mrs Goh (Geo teacher) , thank you for bring the projector to the class so we can have fun with it while you are not around , and of course your TONS of notes

Miss wong , i love to attend your class but not the exams and test . Your class is living and i look forward to attend your class. Maybe you don't remember , but you don't need to worry when you bring your own apples into NTUC becourse the security will only look out for people behaving weird

Mdm Ching , how do you find our maths results , i mean A and E maths especially A maths , did we disappoint you or we surprise you ?? did Mr Chia question you about our O level results?

Piggy , turn slimer and pretty sia , Junlong....watch where your saliva is landing on....same quesion here " did we disappoint you or we surprise you ?? did Mr Chia question you about our O level results? " Are you STILL the HOD of chinese ?? If you are , count yourself lucky LOLL (Laughing Out Loud Loudly)

Finally , Miss liew , is the timer still working ?? I got a C5 for EL , its a PASS and a ticket to Poly

To all Teachers ,

Happy teaching and hope that Mr Chia give you all a pay raise...hehe , i THINK we can organise a riot if he doesn't do that HAHAHA

To Ms Tan Chor Hiang, the teacher that changed my life…. The days with you I will always remember, for they shall stay amongst the greatest I ever had. You were the one that guided me and nurtured me, from the rock bottom of my life, to a winner’s mentality. Thanks to your constant encouragement in debates, public speaking, drama and in the ELC. I was able to find in myself the self esteem that brought me to make a change in life. Ms Tan, I will remember you always, for every success I have and shall achieve started from you, your kindness, your faith that I was capable of something more. You believed in me, even when I could not believe in myself. Thank you.

To Mr Tan, The most sincere teacher I ever had. You were the one that always cared. I shall always remember your leadership in class. If there was any person who could lead, you would be the top candidate. I learnt much from your style of leadership of the class, lessons that I feel have and will help me greatly in the future. You were the person that lead by example and compassion. This part of you I will bring with me to remind me of true leadership.

To Ms Liew thank you so much for the encouragement and dedication in the lit class as well as other occasions whereby you kindly helped me. Although I sometimes am quite disturbing to you, I know you know that I always enjoyed your company. You have made it possible for me to see so much. Even in the short time you taught me, you have created an impact that will resonate through my life… no doubt about it!
